For this week’s inspiration, think frame and think BIG!
Consider creating a layout in which you have a large frame to focus the viewer’s attention on the subject . A page like this can really have the wow factor and create quite a visual impact. Looking around in the Studio gallery I found these fabulous eye-catching examples.
The first one by yorkiemom was created using the pretty Spring Dawn Bundle by Wendy P Designs. The frame takes up most of the page and doesn’t it look great!
This one from kabrak 1207 is so soft and lovely! She has used A Little Piece of Us from Laitha’s Designs.
As well as using the fabulous frames that can be found in many kits, you can also create your own unique frame very easily by using a digital paper clipped to a frame shape. You can make it as plain or as ‘fussy’ as you like. In this example I have used one of the papers from BooLand Designs’ Spit Spot Blue One Page Wonder and clipped it to a scalloped edged circular shape. You can really make a frame like this your own by adding a touch of glitter or perhaps a bevel and emboss. The dodge and burn tool can also help add highlights to your frame. There are many choices and it’s such fun to play!
It’s very simple to add a clipping mask to a paper. There are several different ways you can clip the layers, but once you have clipped the paper to the shape layer below, the paper will only be visible within that shape (as you can see in the graphic below). You can then move the paper around within that shape if you wish.
I’ve created this’ large frame’ quick page for you using BooLand Designs’ Spit Spot Blue kit. Click on the quick page image to download.
Right now Boo has a really special deal. For a limited time, when you purchase Spit Spot Blue page kit (currently on sale!) you will get FREE the matching One Page Wonder. Now that’s what I call a bargain! Having had a chance to play with these two stunning kits, I can tell you that they are beautiful! I especially love these colours!
I hope the coming week is a fabulous one for you all!
