August 2012 - Less is More Challenge

Hi everyone, Darlene here of Studio4 Design•works (https://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13_392&zenid=5014ac43922d63d91a92462396a37373). It was such a great response to my first challenge here at the Studio that I thought "let's keep a good thing going". So for the month of August, I have another mini for you for the LESS IS MORE challenge.

I'm offering up a FREEBIE mini kit for you to work with called IN MY FRIEND'S EYES. The premise of this challenge is to download this kit and create a LO using ALL of the elements and papers of the kit, leaving nothing out. Feel free to use your imagination and clip papers, recolour elements or papers. You can add journaling text or a title, but nothing more. You can duplicate items and use them over again. Be creative!

How very cool that you and Tammy got to meet Jayne! I'm totally jealous, and I'm sure she was a nice distraction at a terrible time in your lives. Super LO!

I used all the elements and papers in their original colors and also recolored some. I also blended papers and did an extraction from the pink paper for the wings. Hope that meets the definition of just being creative. It was fun. thanks

The layouts this month are just terrific. And they add so much beautiful color to the Gallery. I am always astonished at the variations in layouts using the same elements and papers. Such talent!

Thanks so much......yea I changed it to a black and white as I thought it looked better as well between her JROTC uniform and his red cap and gown it was a hue of colors and I am OCD about how things look just one of my quirks:DD lol....
