ISO Tiff file format settings in Photoshop

During my year off designing I've noticed that saving template files in tiff format has become an industry standard. Now that I am designing again I went to save a template in tiff format and found there are several options, I would love it if someone could post a tutorial on the best options to use in saving a tiff file. I'm using ps cs6. I would greatly appreciate any help in this! Thanks!!
