View Full Version : Point In Time Challenge - November

Hi all,

Ready for a mind boggler?
This month, I would like to see a lay out for the year 1776, give or take a year or two.

For American Colonists, this year was part of a new beginning, but what did it mean for your ancestors?
Where were your ancestors at that time?
what were they dealing with?

It can be any event, anywhere, as long as it is connected to your roots.
I understand if there are no photographs LOL, but I DO want to read about it!
Have fun digging -)

Please post your lay out in the gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/g1094-heritage-challenge-3a-point-in-time.html) and link back here, so we know where to find it and leave some love.

Hope to see you here, and in the gallery.

The only pics and info that i have on my ancestors is from the Civil War era. Will that be okay?

Have you traced your family further back than the Civil War? If you know where they were in between 1775 and 1780, you could put information together on the area, the town they lived in or the family members that were there..... I know it's a little confusing at times, I jump around on years quite a bit. The intention is to get pages with ancestor related information from as far back as you possibly can up to present day, and everything in between.

I really hope you come up with a page. If there is anything I can do to help, PM me, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

I am in for this one, my father has just been doing a lot of research as I am making them a book full of their old photos, so this is the challenge for me to put the information together on a page! Excellent, might take a few days though!

Ok I hope I have abided by the rules of the challenge.

I used a kit by Jen C Designs which I recoloured to match the painting kit used "The journey begins"

This painter is an ancestor of mine, and in the year 1776 this painting was catalogued

This period covers part of America's Revolutionary War 1775-1783. My maternal 4th GGrandfather and his 2 sons fought for America in that War.
