Here are the instructions for this month's recipe card challenge/exchange:

1. Click HERE (https://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_189&products_id=17198) for this month's starter kit. The majority of your card(s) must be made with this kit to ensure all the cards “coordinate” with each other. Feel free to use additional CU items to enhance your cards (for example, brushes, actions, etc.). The starter kit will be free to those who used the prior month's starter kit to create and share at least one recipe card.

2. The general theme for this month's cards is your favorite “COOKIE or other CHRISTMAS TREAT” recipe ~ the post below this one includes more information. Be creative and have fun designing your cards! If you need a specific metal tag and don't have it from a previous kit, send me an e-mail and I'll make it for you.

3. Create your original card at 6" wide X 4" tall (1800 and 1200 pixels) and save it as a 300 ppi jpeg, quality between 8 to 10. These are the print-quality cards that will be shared with all participants. You will also need to resize your card at 72 ppi to post in the gallery.

WHEN FINISHED with your card(s), do the following 3 things:

1. E-mail your print-quality, 300 ppi recipe card to LetMeScrapbook@hotmail.com so it can be included in the download file at the end of the month. Do not share your print-quality card on your blogs or through any other means without my prior approval. Several participants have also asked for blank copies of the cards you design, so if you're willing to send me both (with and without the words), that would be great!

2. Upload a picture of your 72 ppi card to the Recipe Card Challenge Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1042). Please upload only your actual recipe card ~ not the blank cards. You may also post a copy of your 72 ppi (web version) on your blog if you’d like, and then include a link to the forum in case others are interested and want to participate.

3. Post a link here in this forum thread no later than December 31.

At the end of the month, all participants will receive a link to download all the cards created that month. Bon appétit!!

December seems to be a good month for cookies: rather it’s making a batch of your favorites to leave out on a plate for Santa, being part of a cookie exchange, or making some to take to your neighbors or coworkers. That’s our primary focus for this month’s challenge – cards with your favorite cookie recipes. You can also create cards for any kind of treat or food item you make around the Christmas holidays – anything goes! I can’t wait to see what ideas you have to share and the cute cards you make!

November participants: I’ll send you an e-mail with a coupon code for this month’s kit in the next few days.

As a general rule, I will share the print-quality version (300 ppi) of the cards you create for this challenge with the other participants; they are not to be given away/shared via a download link on your blogs or through any other means. Feel free to post a picture of the web version (72 ppi) of your card on your blog. If you want, you can also include a link to the forum so others can join in and participate. Please let me know if you have any questions about this explanation or my Terms Of Use (TOU) document.

A litte question: is it allowed to write the recipes in german?!? It´s so hard to translate every recipe, because you use other units than we here in german...

Oh wow. Another adorable kit.

I have the same problem, but this site here is really useful: http://www.reckenpferd.de/tools/index.html

Nimm den Link für Volumen für Liter/Milliliter und den Link für Masse für Kilo/Gramm. Dann einfach die Menge in das entsprechende Kästchen eintippen und die Umrechnung kommt automatisch :))

This is adorable! I can't wait to get started:)

Hi, there. If the site Esha talked about above is helpful and something you're able to use, that would be great! If not, I certainly would still love to have you participate -- written in German or not! : )

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!!

Okay, so now we all know I can't spell "Hershey". This is the second time I have misspelled it on a recipe card. I will send Maurine a corrected card so the one you get in the download will be correct. Thanks for all the kind comments on my card being selected as the LOTD....I'm embarrassed now that it has a spelling error. Merry Christmas everyone.

Each year I make my daughter-n-laws some type of scrap gift for Christmas. This year I made calanders. When I saw the recipe card in todays newsletter I knew what next years gift would be. "Twelve Months of Recipes" I plan on printing each month from Dec through Nov and make them a photo album of all these wonderful recipes. I am hoping it encourages them to cook!! As both my sons are the cooks in the family.

12-20-2012, 07:19 PM
I've got TWO yummy recipes. First up is Gingersnaps...they are SOFT and YUMMY.

Then here is a recipe my neighbor calls, "Christmas in your Mouth". We love it! and try to only make it this time of year.

Had to make this card up as part of a gift I'm giving my daughter. Pistachios are her absolute favorite nut and it isn't often you find to many recipes for using them.

<img src="http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/data/1042/RC_Dec2012_Pistachio_Cranberry_Cookies_gallery.jpg" />

12-24-2012, 10:29 PM
Once again, I'm going for the double side card since most of the recipes I seem to want to make into a card are a bit more detailed. I printed mine out and used my daughter's glue stick and put them back to back - worked out perfectly.
This isn't mine or a family recipe - so I included the web site code where I got it from.

Gosh, I don't make cookies for Christmas, so I thought I could share two desserts that I make and take to family gatherings. My in-laws have a rather large family (over 40 when everyone comes), so I make these two that look festive when side by side on the buffet and they feed a lot of people!!! I also substitute sugar-free or fat-free items where possible to make them a bit more diet-friendly!!!

I had never had these before and once i tried one knew i had to make some-- which like i have said before i don't cook or bake but i have made these twice now. They are yummy! Will say i followed the recipe the first time, then i cheated the 2nd time and bought a roll of peanut butter cookie dough at the store and just added the peanut butter cups. Either way they are still yummy. LOL 2nd way of course much easier and the way I will probably make them from now on-- :)

A request for our Blank Recipe Cards.
Can we Please have a Gallery to share our Blank Recipe Cards. 0:) It seems to me that seeing other blnak recipe cards would encourage others to join in the sharing of blank cards. :)) It would also be a Good Learning oppertuinity to see how recipe cards can turn into Brag Book Pages.
Many times my blank cards are a bit diferent then the recipe version and I don't know where to share them with the community.
