It's hard, when you enter a forum to find out if you're catching all the latest and greatest goings on. With all those different boards, how are you supposed to know if there's a new post in there, or the same stuff you saw last time you came in?

Here's what I do. Along the top bar just, under "private messages", there's something called "New Posts". (Having trouble finding it? In the tan bar, there's "User CP", "FAQ", "Members List", "Calendar" and "NEW POSTS".) If you click New Posts it brings up any threads that contain a new post since the last time you visited SAS. Cool, huh?

"Overview" is the perfect word.

I use Windows Explorer 7, the one with tabs. I pull up the new posts and then just right click on the ones I want to read and select open in a new tab. Then I work my way through the tabs until I've looked at all of them.

I never saw that! well!
I wondered about that, as I've seen "new posts in forum" in other sites and wondered why we didn't have it, too. This site is a bit different from the other (template) site and I Love that about SAS ~ it's not just another copy-cat! But now that I know this function exists (as if it wasn't there all along - sheesh!) it'll be much easier/faster to get in the groove.
I use Firefox and it too has these neat tabs that I can just turn on and off ~ it's fantastic!
Lori ~ you rock!!!
