Welcome to the Gallery Spotlight Challenge for March! This month's challenge is going to only run for two weeks, to catch up with the rest of the challenges that run from beginning to end of month.

This time around we're spotlighting the beautiful gallery of JCSimon (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=1932). Her gallery has over 160 beautiful layouts to gain inspiration from to scraplift for this challenge.

The idea of a "scraplift" is not to make an exact copy of someone else's layout, but to simply use it to gain inspiration from. Please browse JCSimon's gallery and choose one (or more!) layout to scraplift. It could be as simple as using the same color scheme, kit, or theme - or as detailed as matching the placement of all of the elements in the layout. The main thing to remember is to have fun with it! Take a moment to leave JCSimon some comments while you're browsing her gallery.

Please post your layouts in the Gallery Spotlight Gallery (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=552) , and post your link back here, too, so we can all leave you some love! Please remember to credit JCSimon's original layout when you post your layout by placing a link to her layout that you scraplifted in your credits. Got questions? Please don't hesitate to ask! :)

Here's a peek at what you'll get just for participating in this challenge. (I distribute these to the participants on a weekly basis)

Happy Scraplifting!

Okay - this is another first challenge for me. I loved the way JC Simon layered the crocheted doilies, so I copied that part with lace doilies created by me!

I had a great time doing this and thanks for the challenge!

p.s. the posting bonus is beautiful! What an incentive!

Here is my layout for the Gallery Spotlight Challenge.

My inspiration came from JCSimon's "Love" layout which is found here:

Thanks for looking!

Oh wow... the biggest challenge was to choose from the wonder gallery JCSimon has! It's going to be a source of inspiration long after the challenge is up! :)

But for now, here is mine (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=10279).

It was based on her LO Family Features (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=6213).

I LOVE LOVE scraplifts!!! The hard part is always choosing just one. I usually try to go at it element for element, but this kit just had too much fun stuff in it, so I scraplifted outside my box.

Here's mine! I loved how JC used the large photo to softly fade back into the background of her LO "Baby's It's Cold". I couldn't wait to give it a try! I used Toye Mason's Sweetness kit.

Had to give this challenge a try. JCSimon's gallery is fantastic. This layout of hers "Did you say Trip (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=10064&ppuser=1932)?" reminded me that I really wanted to try a layout with lots of open space.
So here is what I came up with ... Did you say Flip? (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=10775&limit=recent)

Here are two pages from a Christmas Album I'm working on. I scraplifted JCSimon's ribbon & bow idea from "Too Cool" LO.

This is my first time doing this challenge and also doing a scraplift (and almost too late, lol, being the procratinator that I am).

I chose JCSimon's "Grandma's Love" as my inspiration. I loved that she was honoring an ancestor (her grandmother) as I've been working on my heritage scrapbooking lately and I loved the lines and colors of her layout (I also happen to love the kit she used and work with it often myself).

So, here is mine. I used Font Cygnet Round and all papers and elements were from SAS's mega kit "Mother Earth" as were JCSimon's, though I used different pieces than she.

Thanks for looking and thanks for having these great challenges!
