View Full Version : Life's Musical Moments Challenge for April

04-01-2008, 10:38 AM
Welcome to my new challenge!

Music means a lot to me, and there are many songs that evoke certain feelings or special memories when I hear them. I saw a challenge in a digi-scrap magazine to make an album of those songs, and I thought something similar would be a great addition to our SAS-y challenges. So here is this months theme -

I've read that the song that was number 1 on the day you were born can really define who you are as a person. I don't know how true that is, but I do know there are some great songs from the year I was born, one in particular that does kind of describe me. So this month's challenge is to scrap a song from the year you were born that could describe you, or even just a song from that year that you really feel strongly about. You don't have to tell us what year it is, either. You don't need to include pictures, but you do need to include at least one verse of the song, and the title and artist.
Here is the posting bonus
Thanks to Boo, DarleneH, JenLin, Beckie Wallace, and SkrapperDigitals for letting me use pieces of their posting bonuses to make these coordinating QPs

Post your layouts to the gallery for this challenge here (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=670), and post a reply in this forum. Happy Scrapping!

What a fun challenge! My friend did a CD for our games night group that had the number one song the week every one of us was born. So, I now exactly what that song was...and how perfectly I was told it suits me! :)

This is going to be fun!

Sounds fun! I love music, so it should just make sense that I use it as inspiration for layouts. Mine's going to be taking us back to the 80s....

The song "In My Eyes" by John Conlee was the #1 Country song for the week I was born. I liked how much this verse sums up the relationship I have with my father--I am (and always will be) his little girl.

Do you know where I can find the top songs from when I was born?

Here is my layout for the April Life's Musical Moments Challenge.

The song "I love you" by Bing Crosby must have been sung by my parents. They loved him and had many of his albums.

Do you know where I can find the top songs from when I was born?

All I did was Google "Billboard Hits 1979" and I came up with quite a few sites that listed songs. Then when I found the one I wanted to use, I Googled that song/artist to find the lyrics.
