Spotlight Challenge May 1st-31st

Welcome to the Gallery Spotlight Challenge for May! My first time hosting a challenge here at SAS!

This month's challenge runs from May 1st - 31st, so there's plenty of time to participate. Newbies and seasoned scrappers are all welcome to join in the fun!

This time around we're spotlighting the gallery of Kimberkatt (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=1&ppuser=810) Her gallery has almost 30 beautiful layouts to gain inspiration from to scraplift for this challenge. I chose her because she displays great ways to feature multiple photos in a layout.

The idea of a "scraplift" is not to make an exact copy of someone else's layout, but to simply use it to gain inspiration from. Please browse the gallery and choose one (or more!) layout to scraplift. It could be as simple as using the same color scheme, kit, or theme - or as detailed as matching the placement of all of the elements in the layout. The main thing to remember is to have fun with it! Take a moment to leave some comments while you're browsing her gallery.

Please remember to credit the original layout when you post your layout by placing a link to the layout that you scraplifted in your credits. Got questions? Please don't hesitate to ask!

OK, it was tough to choose and I think I actually got inspiration from all of kimberkatt's LOs but if I had to choose, the two that stood out the most for me were Zoom Zoom (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2103&ppuser=810) and Sandbox (http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1315&ppuser=810). I love how they are progression photos, telling a story of the event.

You know, I find it difficult to scrap just ONE picture! I'm a "snap happy" picture taker, so I always have a TON of pics for one simple moment! LOL! I love how pictures can tell the story perfectly! Plus, I usually can't decide WHICH picture to scrap, so I just scrap them all! hehehe... :D

Well I think I failed but here it is anyways. :o

I made this LO for the May Spotlight Challenge. KimberKatt's "Adorable Cousinns caught my eye. http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=13183&ppuser=810 I just love negative Strips. I like the way she blended the families together. Funny when I started this LO I was going to make it just like hers. he he I decided to use April Showers Mega Kit and my LO took on a life of its own.
