View Full Version : Hello From California

I have been a frequent visitor to Stone Accents since the site opened. I have downloaded and created numerous scrap pages from many of the beautiful kits offered as 'freebies' during the past several months. I have been reluctant to post my work since I am fairly new to digital scrapping. I kept telling myself that my work wasn't good enough.

As a result of my shyness - I have probably lost a lot of excellent learning opportunities. It is time for me to jump in and learn more about this hobby that I have learned to love.

My primary interest is restoring old photographs for genealogy scrapping, and creating scrap pages commemorating special family events for my family website.

Now that I have taken the plunge - I hope I can find my way back to this thread. (lol)

Ahh, I know that feeling! LOL, I often got 'lost' in the beginning but I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually.

I'm so glad you decided to come out of the shadows. This is a very friendly group; I think you'll be happy here.

I'm looking forward to seeing your LOs.

Hi, welcome to SAS! We don't believe there's no such thing as "not good enough" here at Stone Accents Studios. We all started somewhere. The funny thing is, a few months ago, we had a thread where members showed their "horrible" early scrapping efforts, and their more recent ones, and you know what? Their early efforts were great too. We're all our own worst critic.

A great way to dive in and learn through inspiration is to dive into our challenges. As an added benefit, you can earn a mega kit each month for free.

If you're not afraid of a little constructive criticism, by all means post a link to your layout and ask for some input. Our members and designers will gently help you make improvements that will take your layouts from nice to wow!

I'm glad you've decided to come out of hiding and join in.

Hi and welcome to SAS !

I am sure you will absolutely love it here! SAS is one of the warmest digi sites on the net, bar none!
And, Mary, don't feel like your work would be inferior in any way, because we all started from knowing nothing, to a little something, then to more and more. That's how we learn, that's how we grow. :)

I can't wait to see your work, so please do 'jump in' and make yourself at home.

I'm Stella and I'm from Australia. I love the little that I have seen of California, Santa Barbara and driving all the way up to Big Sur and the Redwoods and then Vancouver! Your state is a bit of Paradise!

See you around!

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I posted a few of my scrap pages in the User Gallery (hope I did it right). Trying to figure out how this system works as time allows.
