Hi, SAS-y Friends!

Sorry I'm late with this posting! Without further ado, let's get to it...

This month your posting bonus looks like this:

Since we're talking 'free' style here, this month I want you to set your photos free and scrap outside of the box... I mean page... well, actually, I want you to scrap a subject outside its photo frame! Be daring, be different, be creative!

You've seen them, you've envied them, now it's time to imitate them ~ a photo is great on a page in all its original glory, but how can you alter the subject inside the picture to make it pop out, hang out or simply stand out of the frame that contains it?

I'll be back later on with my own example, but meanwhile, muse on this and see what you can come up with.

See you soon!

I look forward to any feedback, help and critique anyone might have!

I have been doing a bunch of the challenges this month, most for the first time, and this one was absolutely the most fun! I have seen these OOB layouts before and always admired them but was a bit too intimidated to try one. I just needed some motivation, I guess. I had to try a few different things to get this to work but I'm really pleased with the result. I cropped the pic to fit the frame and added the arms into the selection. I put the frame on top of my extracted selection and then cut out some extra arms which I pasted on top and gave them a really high shadow. I had to amputate her poor arms several times to get the drop shadow to fall in the right place. LOL. I think another font might have made the title look more polished but I love the little girls sitting on top of this one and it was too fun coloring them in. I just had to leave them in there because they make me smile. Thank you Stella for the motivation! I may try another one of these this month since this one was so much fun to do. Here is my layout:

This was also my effort in the “white space” challenge this week. Out of bounds is something I do a lot. It’s the white space that is totally new to me!

Well, I finally got it all together and you can find my layout for the freestyle challenge here:

It was a lot of fun to do and the challenge provided the impetus I needed to get something done with this series of photos.

You have made me proud this past month, Ladies, as you always do!
I'm PM'ing you your posting bonus asap, so watch for it!

Thanks for being a part of the Freestyle Challenge!

PS I have 'seen' all your layouts but the site will not let me post ANY comments! It must be all the changes to the site, perhaps? I'll keep trying!
