Can someone explain to me exactly what a bracket album is and its intended use? I guess I am a little vague on it and have been using some "bracket album" components I really like, to incorporate into larger 12x12 LO's..

Basic Gray makes a chipboard album in this size. http://www.basicgrey.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1181

I'm assuming that the gals who use these will print their bracket layouts and adhere to the chipboard to have a physical album to show off.

I simply do as you do, use the bracket QP on my regular layouts.

Yes, bracket albums are mainly for Hybrid scrapping, Basic Grey, among others make chipboard albums in different shapes, and a bracket shape is one of them, and the idea is to print your bracket layouts and adhere them to the albums, but it's perfect fine to use them on 8x8 or 12x12 pages as well, even if you are not printing them out, they make pretty pages. Bracket pages are usually sized at about 6x6.
