I bought a template that has the rar ext.
It needs some program to unzip it.Winsip cannot.
I really do not want to download another program on my computer since it is full and I am working to free up space.

the only possibility is to get winrar
it's no big programm and you need it to unzip this.
a lot of files are zipped with it
so you will need it more often
you can download winrar from here:
even though it's just a trial you can use it all along
it may tell you sometime to purchase but it still will work without purchasing

Yup, you need winzip, sorry but as nighty said many sites only offer .rar files. :)

I downloaded (free) a program called, Unzip them All. This program is amazing as it will unzip both .zip and .rar files all at the same time. You open the folder and select what you want unzipped and it does it all at one time. No more unzipping file, by file. It doesn't take up much room and it's freeware. Here's the link:

Thanks. I didn't see the above posts on winrar .I downloaded the one Lori suggested.Haven't tried it yet. Will do tommorrow.I have spent the eve.unsipping my files from the store, challange gifts and from the scavanger hunt and designer freebies!! What a wonderful day the grand opening of the store was!.It was the best !Got them all unzipped but not all backed up to cd's yet.I did post a thank you for the wonderful day about 11:45pm yesterday but I got a window for the webmaster saying out of space or something like that.
Unzip It All is awesome! I got it months ago because I have a habit of downloading tons of freebies and then not unzipping them right away. I just drop them in a folder on my desktop. With this program, you tell it which folder to look in and it unzips every single one of them with one click. It's a freebie-holics dream! :)

LOL! I, too, am a freebie-aholic!!
I use WinRar to unzip multiple zips at once, I just highlight them all and right-click "Extract to individual folders"
Haven't tried the Unzip them all, will have to check it out! Thanks, Lori, for the link! :)

Zip Genius works great and does both zips and rars, and gives you lots of options. I can't remember if it is freeware or shareware, but if it is a trial then it is the worlds longest trial lol because i've been using it for at least 6 months now. You can probably find it on download.com. That's where I get most of my utilities. Good Luck :D
PS,if my grammar stinks this morning it is probably the new allergy meds. I am usually pretty anal about grammar and spelling lol. Comes from having 2 teachers for parents...

I know that this is an older post , but if anyone needs to know there is also a program that is free that I use for unzipping called tugzip . It oipens(extracts) all sorts of file types .

I'll add another one - 7zip. As we all love free I happen to stumble on a free kit with a
7z extension. 7zip is also free and does multiple files types, including the RAR. I'll have to check out the Unzip them all software. THX for the suggestions.
7zip is what I use too. It unzips faster than winzip

Just to let you all know, WinRAR is not free - there is a free trial, but after that it will prompt you to pay for the license - you CAN use the program WITHOUT paying for it just by clicking close on the prompt, but it's not intended to be freeware! I bought my license with them years ago when there were no alternatives, and WinRAR is all I use to unzip everything, I really do love it! :)
But, I would go with another if you are looking for a free program, like 7zip.
