Okay here we go, are you ready? I am going to be running this quite loosely so that everyone can play if they want to, whether you are awake or not at the time we start. So if you are doing this later on, just follow the steps and then post your layout and then the link here in this thread. I will be here during this first hour to answer questions and also will add each step every 10 minutes during that hour for those who want to play hard core LOL.
As long as your page is posted by Christmas Day you will get the prize :)

Guidlines are HERE
http://www.stoneaccentsstudioforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6429

This is your prize if you post in the gallery and post a link to it here in the thread

http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/store/bmz_cache/8/802492b9be2d7f8314f18b9aae4aad47.image.300x300.jpg

Step 1

Choose 2 papers and 1 large photo you can journal about.
Place the photo in the top left area of the page and one of the papers as the background.

Step 2

Crop the other paper into a wide strip to place down the right hand side of the page so that it overlaps the photo a
little

Step 3

Use a flat ribbon, fibre or strip of paper (or something similar) and place it down the seam of the paper and photo.
Add Journaling on the paper strip you added in step 2.

Step 4

Below the photo on the background place a tag or journal block, or something similar to put your title on. Put the
title on it too.

Step 5

Add Embellishments in the bottom right 1/4 of the page somewhere. No real limit to embellishments you can put a cluster if you want :)

Step 6

Finish up by adding shadows if you haven't already and anything else you would like, there is no limit to what
you can add as long as the page has followed the steps to this point.

Now save and post in the speed scrap gallery (http://www.stoneaccentsstudioforum.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1015) and post the link here so we can all leave you some love :)

Thanks for playing along and I hope you had fun.
Posting bonuses will be given out as you post your layout links in this thread

Here's my page :)

I figured it would be easier to follow later on for those who jump in later to do this if all the steps were in the top post. I usually do that if I do it in a chat room too cause some don't like to chat, they are too shy :)

By the way there are 6 steps to this speed scrap so we are half way there already. I will post my page when we are done in case anyone needs visual help too.

Ambowife Designs
12-21-2009, 07:45 PM
Can we change stuff once we place it?? My paper behind the journaling is too busy.

sure you can Joba, it's not like the progressive scrap rofl!! You can change anything as long as they are still following the steps, placement and type of element/paper that kind of thing :)

Ambowife Designs
12-21-2009, 07:47 PM
I use my wacom as a mouse too, mainly it was to get used to the pen but now I like it better than the mouse. You can do tracing of pics or write your own journaling on your page, it does take a bit of getting used to the pen but once you get the hang of it it's great. Painting with brushes and selecting with your marquee lasso tool are things I use it for too.

Ambowife Designs

Here's an interesting site to visit if you have a wacom

I think they have lessons etc there too

It is hard to do speed chats when you have to have the layout done in an hour. You can't chat at all.

I use cs3 and my Kaspersky av is such a resource hog, I can't have them both open, so have to wait til end of chat 2 scrap.

Until I get my new computer after 1st of year, kinda limited time wise. Sometimes I just chat and know I won't be able to do the scrap.

So I know I am very late. I read about the speedscrap when I came out of bed this morning. My kids have they're holliday, so I don't have much time left to scrap during the day. But I did want to join in on this. I think it's great.
I followed the step and created a page. Here it is:
