It's early here but I've got my coffee and I'm ready to go! I'll give you some steps throughout the hour and if you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them in this thread. I'll be online until 8:00 a.m. (Pacific time) - after that I have to leave for work. But I'll be checking online throughout the day. Feel free to join in anytime and you can read about the guidelines and timeframe to get the free bonus in THIS THREAD (http://stoneaccentsstudioforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6446).
This is going to be a multi-photo layout.
Step One –
Choose at least two photos to scrap. Select one of them to be your focal photo. Choose which background paper you want to use. Place the paper and photos on your page. Make your focal photo stand out somehow – enlarge it, frame it, desaturate it – anything that draws the eye to the focal image.
Step Two –
Add a second paper somewhere on your layout. This can be a mat, a torn paper edge, anything you want – just make sure the layout has two papers on it.
Step Three –
Select some embellishments that will enhance your story and add them to your page.
Step Four –
Add a title and some journaling. The journaling doesn’t have to be long, as long as the who-what-when is somewhere on the page.
Step Five –
Put the final touches on your page by adding drop shadows and anything else you may want. Save and post to the Speed Scrap Gallery (http://www.stoneaccentsstudioforum.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1015), and then come back to this thread and post a link here.
Hope you enjoyed this chat/challenge. I will send each participant a coupon for the posting bonus no later than 12:00 noon on Christmas day.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year to all of you!
Here’s my page I did for this chat, using my Musical Memories kit. (My son is the bass guitarist.)
