Hi talented scrappers!
(I'm stealing this post from Jeanette who stole it from Kimberkatt who stole it from Toiny who stole it from Tracy!!! Mostly because I'm lazy)
Friday's Chat will be a speed scrap, lots of fun and giggles at these kinds of scraps so if you can find the time to be free at 8:00pm EST come along and play. I will be giving you your steps and you will get a page done. I will also be posting the steps in the forum in this thread for those that want to play along a little later.
How it works:
You are given a step about every 10 minutes in the chat room across one hour then you have another hour to post your layout in the speed scrap gallery Day 5 and post the link from the address bar at the top of your browser back here in this thread.
Don't worry, I'll try to keep it a lot easier than previous designers who I will let remain nameless until someone decides to tattle on them;)
I hope you all can find the time to come along and play today!
I will be giving away a little freebie during the chat but you must be there to get it
:(( :(( :((Only 2 hrs, 10 minutes to go!!! :(( :(( :((
Instructions:
1. Find a kit that has 8 or 9 pages or more in it. Use one paper for your background. Cut 3 into strips. And 4 or 5 into circle shapes. Just cut them into long 12 in strips or circles in their own file before copying it into your background page.
2. 2nd step... just pick out one picture and cut it into a circle, too.
3. Place the 3 strips of paper together on the right side of the background paper from top of page to bottom, all touching one or more of the strips. Arrange all the circles along the strips, including the picture. Put the picture on the very top layer of all the circles.
4. Pick out long stitches or if no stitches a very long element that can "hold" down all your strips and circles and picture together.
5. Find a scatter of tiny flowers, sequins, beads, glitter... and place it under the picture and circles, peeking out all along the left side of the circles/picture.
6. Add a little tag as part of your cluster, and embellish cluster with any 2 or 3 more elements you think it needs clustered on top of the scatter but under picture/circles. Put a year on the tag.
7. Add journaling if you'd like in the top left corner or just a title in the top left corner.
Add any shadows, etc needed, and post your layout here in this thread and also in our speed scrap gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1056). Thanks for playing!
