View Full Version : Day Seven.....Grand Finale

03-14-2010, 12:07 AM
Wow, you guys did awesome with that bow. Sorry there is a lag during the day with my responses due to needing some sleep occassionally. I work twelve hour nights on the weekends, so while you can catch me pretty easily during the week, weekends are not quite as easy.

So here it is....the final day. I cannot believe it moved so fast and it was one heck of a ride. These layouts are fabulous and so unique, I am proud of this wonderful kit created by our team here at theStudio. It is truly one of kind and I think all of my fellow designers will agree we need to do more like this. :-)

Post your final layouts and link back to here in the gallery. I will start getting all the layouts together for a vote Monday evening. Arizona time. So that will give some of our late starts time to catch up.

I have really enjoyed hosting this with you guys!! I cannot wait to see what you come up with.

Without further delay....

Today's pieces are by Designs by Darlene Haughin and Ellen M Creations

Instructions for Day Seven:

Use the paper once or twice. (remember you can recolor if needed or use shapes)
Use the marble at least three, no more than seven times. ( I am sure I will be searching for marbles tomorrow.
Add a title, some journaling or both and your pictures if you haven't already!!!

Happy Scrappin!

This was a blast, thanks for hosting Jo. It was good to "dig" out these pictures from a couple Springs ago and get them scrapped. Especially considering my little guy was 2 at the time and will be 6 tomorrow. I'm pretty happy the way the LO turned out.

Here is my day 7" http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=53533&title=day-7&cat=1075

03-14-2010, 06:28 PM
DONE! Here it is my final product:

All my marbles are covering the original pinwheel centers and today's paper is EXACTLY what I needed for those frames.

Another major stretch for me - not at all the typical colors or elements I usually use. At first I thought, "Well, I put these things on to meet the requirements but then they are going bye-bye when this goes to print." I am happy to report I like it as is....who knew?!?!?!

Once again I have to say a great big huge THANK YOU to JO....seriously, I really appreciate it all the catch up you helped me play this weekend. You deserve a huge reward.

Can't wait until the next progressive scrap. These things are addictive!!!!! Thanks for letting me play.

03-14-2010, 06:49 PM
Awww, you guys are awesome!! You inspire me with your creativity. I'll be right here along side you next progressive scrap. It was awesome to host one of my favorite challenges! If you havn't had a chance yet, hop over to the Project 365 challenge and join me on a weekly basis!!

Hugs and MAH MAH to you all.

PS. Now I am off to love on some layouts and ask Tracy how to make a poll. LOL

03-14-2010, 09:24 PM
Oh, I want to say that that was a real stretch for me too. My brother wasn't a muddy guy, my beau didn't have any muddy pics at hand, so I was really close to quitting on day 3. But I dug out a couple of his dawg photos. Whew!! I LOVE this progressive scrap thing!!

:eek:Here I am!
Sorry this took so long; Sunday is My busiest day of the week, and as it was also Mothering Sunday (Happy mother's Day, all you Mums!), I was even busier than usual. I had a lovely day!:XX

Anyway, here's my completed page. I like it! :DD These are always so much fun; I love the suspense! Thanks for all the great elements everyone contributed, which will certainly get used again!!! I used my own photo from the same event for the background page, just played with the color and levels to get it to match. But it isn't in my list of elements used, since it is just another photo (in case anyone is wondering lol).

I love everyone's layouts this time around...you certainly got the creative juices flowing! How will I possibly narrow it down to three?? Thanks again for hosting this great challenge, Jo.
