Sorry for the delay posting this ~ if you're ready to join me in this month's recipe card challenge/exchange, here's what you need to do:

1. Click HERE (http://bit.ly/RCC_0410) to download the FREE starter kit. Please use this kit (or papers/elements you design in the same color palette) so the cards will "coordinate" and to ensure we don't violate other designers' TOU.

2. "April showers bring May flowers." In Utah, "April showers" seem to mean SNOW this year, and that has me thinking about soup, stew, and chili recipes you can cook on the stove top or in the crock pot.

3. Design your recipe card(s) however you'd like. Include your name, forum name, e-mail address ~ whatever you want ~ on the card.

4. Create your original card at 4" x 6" and save it as a 300 dpi jpeg, quality of 10. These are the print-quality cards that will be shared with all participants. You will also need to resize your card at 72 dpi to post in the gallery.

WHEN FINISHED:

1. E-mail your 300 dpi recipe card to [email protected] so it can be included in the download file at the end of the month. Several participants have asked for blank copies of the cards you design, so if you're willing to send me both (with and without the words), that would be great!

2. Upload a picture of your 72 dpi card to the Recipe Card Challenge Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1042).

3. Post a link here no later than April 30 so we can leave you some love and so you'll be eligible for your points.

At the end of the month, all participants will receive your points and a link to download all the cards created that month. Bon appétit!!

Reminder about POINTS EARNED for completing this challenge:
• You'll earn 10 points for the first recipe card and 5 points for each additional card.
• If you complete all theStudio challenges this month, you'll earn a 100 point BONUS.
• 100 points = $1 to the store.
• Points may be redeemed at any time. PM Toiny or any Admin at the Studio.

Here is a recipe for vegetable soup my mom always made and we loved it. You can change the veggies but the onion, celery, and tomatoes are the key to a good vegetable soup.

When you say save to the quality of ten, do you mean highest because 10 is the lowest in PSE4 with 100 being the highest quality?

Thanks for asking -- yes, I do mean a high, print quality. It doesn't necessarily have to be the very highest, but high enough that it will look good printed. Hope that helps.

Here are the links to mine:
Hobbit Shire Soup (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=56169&title=hobbit-shire-soup&cat=1042)
Chicken Bean Soup (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=56168&title=chicken-bean-soup&cat=1042)
I also made matching index cards which are 1/2 inch higher for the tab:
Soup index card (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=56171&title=soup-index-card&cat=1042)
Crock Pot index card (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=56170&title=crock-pot-index-card&cat=1042)
Stew index card (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=56172&title=stew-index-card&cat=1042)
and because I don't have any stew recipes to share, I just made a blank card (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=56173&title=blank-stew-card&cat=1042) for you to add your own later
