View Full Version : Ton Sur Ton Speed Scrap - forum instructions

Because the other thread was getting long... this is for those of you following along here instead of in chat. I will post each instruction after I give it out in chat.

This is a Ton Sur Ton Speed Scrap so keep your papers & elements to one color. However black & white are all right!
Pick 1 paper for your background, pick 1 photo… make sure the color of the paper is repeated in the photo! Place the photo near the center of the paper
Duplicate the photo, select only the matching color, select inverse. Turn the rest of the photo b&w
Add a drop shadow to your photo, add a ribbon wrap (or frame) to your photo
Add 1 ribbon, 1 foliage or blossom, 1 torn (or strip) of paper and 1 big flower underneath the photo
Add a scatter
Add Wordart under the photo, but peeking out too!
Add dropshadows to elements… show it off!

Example of b&w photo with a splash of color:

A big thank you to Amber (Ruby Lane Designs) for unknowingly being my inspiration!

Finally finished; did Ruby Lane's too, the chatting was WAY too much for this chickie, but I'll try again another time!

My credits are awful ,I'm so sorry, way too late for me on a Sat night I'm supposed to get to bed early!

But I did love the challenge, the LO I ended up with for both of them. Very different styles for me - and that's what I was hoping for! LOL

This was the first time I tried to do a challenge or even post one of my layouts. I had so much fun. I only did three of the speed scrap layouts because I had a hard time keeping up. But, I did figure out how to upload to the gallery (hope I did it right) and here. This is the Texas state flower, bluebonnets. I really like the way it turned out. Thanks so much for such a fun day. http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/data/500/medium/2010-04-17-B.jpg
I used The Beach Blanket Mega Kit for the layout.
