Here are the instructions for this month's recipe card challenge/exchange:

1. Click HERE (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_189&products_id=5292) to download the starter kit. It will be a freebie through July 14. Please use this kit (or papers/elements you design in the same color palette) so the cards will "coordinate" and to ensure we don't violate other designers' TOU.

2. The general theme for this month's cards is OUTDOOR COOKING. I made tags for dutch oven and BBQ. If you need other tags, send me an e-mail and I'll make them for you. Feel free to think "potluck" ~ anything you might bring to an outdoor cookout, camping trip, picnic, etc., including salads, baked beans, a side dish, dessert, etc.

3. Design your recipe card(s) however you'd like. Include your name, forum name, e-mail address ~ whatever you want ~ on the card.

4. Create your original card at 6" wide X 4" tall (1800 and 1200 pixels) and save it as a 300 ppi jpeg, quality of 10. These are the print-quality cards that will be shared with all participants. You will also need to resize your card at 72 ppi to post in the gallery.

1. E-mail your 300 ppi recipe card to LetMeScrapbook@hotmail.com so it can be included in the download file at the end of the month. Several participants have asked for blank copies of the cards you design, so if you're willing to send me both (with and without the words), that would be great!

2. Upload a picture of your 72 ppi card to the Recipe Card Challenge Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1042).

3. Post a link here no later than July 31 so we can leave you some love and so you'll be eligible for your points.

At the end of the month, all participants will receive your points and a link to download all the cards created that month. Bon appétit!!

Reminder about POINTS EARNED for completing this challenge:
• You'll earn 10 points for the first recipe card and 5 points for each additional card.
• If you complete all theStudio challenges this month, you'll earn a 100 point BONUS.
• 100 points = $1 to the store.
• Points may be redeemed at any time. PM Toiny or any Admin at the Studio.

To be honest, I was a teeny, tiny bit worried about this theme and if people would participate this month. Thank you so much for proving me wrong! The cards and the recipes are fantastic and just in time for a summer full of outdoor activities and cooking!

Hello Ladies and Gents,

I am wondering if anyone has tried to print their recipe cards yet? I have and found that part of the edge is missing. Any ideas on how to fix this or what I am doing wrong?

The shutterfly guy says to add a shutterfly border to them. What are your thoughts?

I am thinking you are sending the cards to a photo processing lab?? All labs "slightly enlarge" prints so that they are full bleed. It doesnt matter that they are designed full bleed already. The "slight enlargement" means you could loose areas on the edge. Even desktop printer drivers sometimes do the "slight enlargement" and you have to read the documentation to find out how to print "actual size". I dont know if this is your issue for sure but it sounds like it.

This is all so difficult for me...the getting things posted, that is. Hope I'm doing this right. I've so enjoyed the creativeness of all the participants in making these wonderful cards.

Well, here is my first effort for this month.

http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=61371&title=doodle-cake-frosting&cat=1042 and there is a cake recipe that goes with it. I haven't really tried this myself but a friend makes it all the time for potlucks. Very rich...DO NOT Count Calories! You'll go into cardiac arrest.

And here is the cake recipe

I didn't think we'd exceed last month's card count, and we did! By quite a bit! Super job, everyone! Your recipes and cards are fantastic ~ thanks for joining me this month!

I'll finish packaging up the cards and provide the download link to participants in the next few days. And I just posted August's challenge ~ I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Thanks again! And this thread is now officially done! : )
