It's Speed Scrap 9 at 9pm EST! Are you ready for a little different kind of scrapping? How about a layout with NO pictures!

Everything posted by 10:30pm EST gets a $2.00 coupon to theStudio. Everyone finishing by midnight EST gets a $1.00 coupon to theStudio.

1) Find a poem you love. http://www.poemhunter.com/poems/ is a great place to look. There are categories down the left hand side. The poem will be the focus of your layout - no pictures. Place it anywhere and anyhow you'd like on the layout as you work.

2) Download my curvy paper clippers at http://bit.ly/jwcurve (There are two in the download - yours free!) Pick one to use in your layout and you will clip a paper to it, you can crop and resize the clipper anyway you'd like - it's your choice. Just work the use of one (or both) of them into your layout somewhere along the line.

3) Select 3 papers - 1 solid (or mostly solid) and 2 patterns. Stack the papers anyway you'd like to create a background and use a fastener or two of some sort (staple, button, brad, etc. to attach them). You could use one of the curvy paper clippers to clip a background paper if you'd like - your choice just don't forget to use one of them in your layout somewhere.

4) Create a cluster using 3 flowers, at least one swirl, a tag or word strip, and any greenery you'd like. Place it anywhere you'd like on the paper.

5) Pick one kind of element and place at least for of that kind of element around your layout. (i.e. butterflies and scatter 4 butterflies anywhere on your layout.) You can repeat the same element 4 times or select different version of that type of element for a total of 4.

6) Add 2 pieces of trim - ribbon, stitching, string, lace, or other trim somewhere on your layout.

7) Title your layout, add shadows, pretty up and share in our gallery. (Don't forget - did you use the Curvy Paper Clipper somewhere and make the poem the focus of your layout?)

When complete, upload your layout to the Speed Scrap IX gallery here (http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1202).

Come back and post the layout or a link to it as well so we can all ooh and ahhh!

LOL! Sorry, was trying to come up with something different! How about a little inspiration? This uses a different curve template then what is in your download, but this is the inspiration layout for the instructions.

Janice's rule for speed scraps -- Ask forgiveness, not permission!

I'll PM you shortly!

Janice - I hope you don't mind, but I was wondering if I could add a couple extra flowers.
