Hints and Tips for UK research

Hi All

If you are researching your family history and the lines lead you to England or Uk then take a look at theTips page http://www.hampshire-past.co.uk/tips.htm at Hampshire Past. Even thought the site is about research in Hampshire, England the researcher has given the tips and links for all of UK. She will also give pointers for your research (for free) if your stuck.
Lots of details on how the records work and tips on what you will find, a page of links for Uk and Hampshire research, worth a look.

The link pasted below will take you to the search page at the LDS site for the 1881 Census of the British Isles. I've had much luck with this site and hope it will come in handy to some of you.

Free BMD Project covers all of England

This link is for a volunteer project that covers Births/Marriages/Deaths in the UK. It is updated constantly as the volunteers transcribe new records and place them online. Again, I've had much luck with it and hope that you will too.
