October Point In Time Challenge
Hi there!
Recovered from the party yet? I hope so, because I have a brain-buster for you this month. The challenge is a Centennial Event. ANY event, as long as it is a 100 year aniversary, of something related to your family. Requirements: - JOURNALING explaining what/who, why and when. - Pictures, if you have them. Requested: Please show your appreciation for our designers by using their creations at least for part of your page Post your page in the Point In Time gallery and link back here, so we can go leave some love :-) http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio...ispers_PIT.jpg Please, if you use pictures, make sure you are ok to use them. If the pictures are not your own, mention who they belong to, and that you are using them with permission. |
Re: October Point In Time Challenge
Sorry I didn't get around to doing this last month. Just not enough time. I have a great aunt who died a couple of years ago. She was 101. Does a page about her qualify for this challenge?

Re: October Point In Time Challenge
This would qualify. Most definitly!
If you wish, you can still make the page for last month and post it, I'd love to see it! :-) Just realise it would not qualify for the rewards on last month. |
Re: October Point In Time Challenge
WOW I could probably do 2 pages on this challenge *LOL* My great grand father was born in 1882 and my son was born in 1982. That's 100 years apart in age ;-) Also I graduated high school during the BI-Centennial..would these count?? ;-)

Re: October Point In Time Challenge
Hummmm---can't think of anything in my family that would warrent 100 years. My daughter was born in 1976---but thats the 200 year anniversary of our country. Have to keep thinking------

Re: October Point In Time Challenge
Blue, both of these would be perfect, and Nancy, one or two hundred, really doesn't matter, they're both ok, It would be great to work the bi-centennial and your daughters birthday.....

Re: October Point In Time Challenge
Here's mine. The centennial event is that my husband's great-grandfather immigrated to the US 100 years ago! http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio...rs-ago-web.jpg Thanks for the challenge!!

Re: October Point In Time Challenge
My 100 years celebration is actually in 1913, but my grandfather was there before the town became an official town in 1913. When I was married in the early years, I lived just a couple of miles from my grandfather's first ranch. They moved a few years later to a ranch straight north of Denton.

Re: October Point In Time Challenge
Both of these pages are great!
Isn't it great to put these milestones to paper? You know them, your children MAY know them, but your greatgrandchildren might not even know who the people in that picture were..... Now they will ;-) |
Re: October Point In Time Challenge
Here's mine. Grandpa was 12 in 1912.

Re: October Point In Time Challenge
I'm sorry I haven't commented on these before today, but life has been slightly crazy these last 10 days.
I REALLY enjoy visiting the thread, and seeing all these great memory pages. The November challenge is up and awaiting your thoughts :-) |
