Feb 2008 - My SAS-y Self Challenge
 

I can hardly believe January is almost over. Time really does fly, and it seems like the older I get, the faster it goes by. A new month means a new challege. Ready?

TOPIC for February: "Why I Scrap"

The challenge will run from February 1 - 29. Please use a kit from the SAS-y store (or any freebie by an SAS designer) to create your layout, post to the My SAS-y Self gallery, and come back to this forum to post a link to the gallery so we can all ooh-and-aah over what you made!

Beautiful, Shel! I'm glad you took this challenge even though you found it hard. Guess it really was a "challenge" but I like seeing the photos on your layout, with little moments of your life showing through. :)

The designer, RCMama, was one of the finalists in the last SAS Designer Contest, so it’s not a SAS-y kit, but a designer whose talents I wouldn’t know without Stone Accent Studios. I like the way it turned out, so I hope it’s okay if I bend the rules just this once, please??

Well, I think I didn't follow the rules, but here it is anyway.....I used Heather's kit from the SAS Color Challenge, Jan. '08. I really liked her definitions and then this challenge appeared and it all fit together!

This is my first attempt to post anything, my first challenge and one of my first layouts. :o

I'm pretty new at scrapping and am totally fascinated by it! I'm also no expert on photoshop, so I'm taking baby steps... :)

I finally got to make a layout! Yippee! It's called "Why I Scrap1" - and you can find it in the SAS-y Self Gallery. It was a lot of creative fun and I'm sorry I missed last month's... I might do that one anyway, just because I can!
