Title Font critique please
 

Something is wrong with the font. Is it the size and or color ?
I thought it would be a cute whimsical font to use for a valentine LO but maybe it isn't the right font to use at all?

hmmm, for my taste, the pink doesn't match the other colors
and somehow the font itself doesn't look right.
i think i would try another font

I think it's the font itself. There's already so much texture w/the paper and elements, I think a solid, simpler font would look better. JMO

I both Jamie and Nighty, I don't really like the font for the journaling and I don't think the purple font goes well. If you want a lovey type font, try Fiolex Girls or MC Sweetie Hearts. They're solid with little hearts in it. And I'd make both parts of the journaling black. I think the font you used would be better suited for a title, something short and done in a large print.

Thanks a bunches. I just knew it was wrong. I am first getting into fonts and I downloaded this one and had to try it.I didn't like it right away for this layout. I used pink to match purpie thinking of Candee's tut ...crap.But i knew it was n't right either. I will take your excellent advise and redo the layout.

I think the font is fine actually, I think its the colors.

So what I would do since you have that purple and you want to use the reds, is I would

1.use white for background
2.recolor a small paper bit with the bear color
3.add some doodles with the red and purple from the bear and black on the background white sheet

Or you could use a black background and reverese the black doodles to white doodles.

Oh I got to try that.Sounds like it would make a great LO to show off purpie alot better..Thanks for the critique:)
