Very interesting information!! If it only worked for half of these things it would still be invaluable!!! :)
uhhhh.... looks like I need to stock up on some Honey & Cinnamon!! :p
I distrust the drug companies of the world... they're only out to make $$!! I try to use Home remedies whenever I can! And, my DH's grandfather uses Honey & cinnamon in his tea every morning and at age 76, he still hits the weight room at our local YMCA almost everyday!!! You would never guess his age just by looking at him!
Great info! Thanks for sharing! :D
After reading this yesterday, a day when I had a very upset stomach almost al day, I tried making a tea with a tablespoon of wildflower honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Not only did it not taste bad at all, but my tummy was feeling good enough for soup a half hour later and great the rest of the night! So, I used honey and cinnamon on my oatmeal this morning too! :D
That's great news Nana!! I love honey and cinnamon in tea too and it just seems to sooth the soul as well as the tummy!! :p
This is good to know.Thank you for sharing it
I think I also heard on Dr. Oz that cinnamon was used to boost the metabalism
LOL as long as the cinnamon isn't on a doughnut hee hee, no seriously this is a good tip I'm going to try it out :)
I love that DR OZ!!
Wow, Thank you for the info on Honey and Cinnamon, I'm going to try this out for that wonderful arthritis that tortures me daily.
Thanks so much for sharing this, I am going to print it out and share with my family too. it's great to see it helped with your tummy upset Nani..going to get some as soon as I hit the shops :-)
OMGoodness... Ladies, there is such a thing as "Too much of a good thing." I love honey and like cinnamon, and I know they are both really good for us, so after reading the list of good stuff I decided to make me a cup 'o H/C tea. Ladies, please measure your cinnamon!! I used a silverware tea spoon, and it was not quite fully "heaping" - OY VEY! Waaaaaay too much, almost enough to make me not want to eat cinnamon ever again :( But I drank it anyway, nose plugged and watered down, I didn't want to waste my precious heaping spoonful of honey!! :p I'll try again tomorrow...
Random thoughts about H & C:
** Don't microwave honey (I didn't see that in the article) - you'll kill all the good stuff. You can "uncrystalize" it by heating in warm water (my house is so cold in the winter it crytalizes all the time)
** Don't give honey to children under age 2 because the bacteria can make them really sick (probably already knew that, but it's worth repeating)
** My FIL can't eat cinnamon because it gives him gas (sometimes one has to share their TMI!!) I NEEDED to know this because I had to leave the C out of pumpkin pie (?!?!?) Thanks for letting me share one of my retina-blinding images :D
l love honey with apple cider vinegar...It cleanses the system as well as helping to lose weight.
1 desert spoon of set honey
1 desert spoon of apple cider vinegar
hot water to dilute
cold water so it is easy to drink
Drink as much as you want during the day....
Hi all, I finally got me some honey and cinnamon and to be honest I dislike both of them but hey if it does me any good I will try anything :-)
I am stuck though, can someone tell me the best dosage? I have used a large teaspoon of Honey and about a quater or a bit less of cinnamon in boiled water, is that right? it was like taking medicine, hold the nose and swallow...lol..would it be ok with a squeeze of lemon? may make it taste better for me.
Cinnamon does cure bladder infections. I've used it for years. I take the caps though. just because I think you need more.
I didn't know they did caps I will have to look for them, any idea where I would be able to buy them?
