January Journalling Challenge
 

Okay Happy New Year everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful time.
Thank you to all of you who participated in the journalling challenge in December.

This month's challenge is themed, "Special Day" So you can journal about a special day in your life. A birthday, an occasion or Wedding, any day that meant a lot to you or even a special day for someone else. It doesn't even have to be a happy event, it could be the saddest day, just as long as it is a day that had great meaning!!

You have until January 31st to participate in the challenge. Just upload your layout to the SAS-y Journalling Challenge Gallery and then post a link here for us all to go check it out and leave you some love.

Oh wow! Cool! I knew the moment I read this the title of my "Special Day" lo! Someday! When you see my lo you will understand why! Someday was 24 hours my family will never forget! I lost the photos in a move... so until I find them it'll be a one pager this month.

I worked on honing my "Someday" journalling all day and wittled it down to 2 pages... without any photos! I had to add a few days leading up to Someday to tell my story.

Someday and Someday 2 are now up. They are very plain! I could make a book about Someday! I probably will... someday! (shh don't tell Mark I said someday!)

I knew exactly what day I was going to journal about, but now I think I'll 'expand' on it a little bit, so you'll be able to realize WHY my day was so significant :) I hope to have it done soon.

Thank you all! I'm glad you enjoyed "Someday" it was quite a wild time! Kyra has heard the story a million times! She even read my journalling to her boyfriend before I uploaded it here. I wanted to get a few opinions on how it sounded before I uploaded it. Mark and I have told the story countless times... but this was the first time I wrote it down... I'm glad I did! Now our family will have it long after we're a memory.

Well here is mine LOL. I finally got around to doing one too!!
I even made a quickpage out of it and have it for free in the store for those who want it!! LOL. I'm not as great with words as some of you wonderful ladies though!!

Karen I loved your layouts and the kit you used was so pretty too. Such a great memory and I am so glad you got divorced out of that first marriage!!! Beautifully scrapped and journalled. Well done Sweetie. I have pm'd you the posting bonus.

as for my layout. My son gave me away as my father passed away from stomach cancer in the preceding october. It was very quick and he was devastated that he wouldn't be able to give me away and asked Christopher to do his job for him on the big day. But that's another page LOL

Tracy that is so sweet! Your father asking your son to give you away made me cry! I'm sure we all could make a whole album out of our "Special Day"... it sounds like your story would be very emotional for you to write.

Karen (Karen was hard for me to write I'm Karin) I'm so glad you got out of your first marriage! It sounds like God, Mike and your kid's have helped you gain selfasteem and peace in your life. It sounds like Mike helped you bloom! What a wonderful love story!
