A pebble who wants to be a pearl says HI
 

New to this site and also to digital scrapping. I'm now retired and have time for fun hobbies, this being the one which took me by surprise as I'm not artistic, but find this is something I enjoy doing despite little natural talent. The designers make it easy with their color palates and element choices!

So my question is does anyone know what the various names represent? How does a mere pebble transform into a gem or pearl?

Pebble = 10
Gem = 100
Pearl = 500
Opal = 1000
Diamond = 2000
Fossil = 5000
