Ancestry.com site

This site is advertized alot. You have to join for annual fees etc to search most stuff. Does anyone belong and is it worth the fees?

Ancestry

I have done research on this site many times. It will usually give me enough that I can find the information somewhere else, but it requires time to find it. For convenience, it would be worth it. The LDS site of familysearch.org has a tremendous amount of information that is free. Myheritage.com will also search several data bases at once.

I have few problem relatives that just don't want to be found!

I use Ancestry.com and think it is well worth the $19.95 I pay a month for it!!

I have belonged to this site for several years and the fee is worth it depending on how really involved you are in genealogy. The annual fee is much less than the monthly fee but I am using the monthly right now because I put off research last year with our move...and we are usually gone from home 3-4 months. I love this site. In my opinion, the cardinal rule with genealogy with ANY site is to use the information there as a jumping-off point for your own research. Prooving the information yourself is the only way to be assured of accuracy.

I checked out the myheritage and it is really neat.
