Avatar Challenge
 

I don't know about you, but for me, Spring Cleaning involves sorting through some old stuff. So, in honor of some of the fun finds that Spring Cleaning usually brings out....we're going to update our avatars by hopping back in time!

Here's the deal:

Find a picture of yourself where you are at least HALF as old as you are now (ie: if you are 26, like me, you need to find a photo of yourself age 13 or younger)

Gp to your user control panel and change out your avatar (that little picture of you)!

Come back here, no need to share your current age, unless you want to - but tell us how much dust you had to shake off that photo by sharing the YEAR (or approximate year) that your picture is from!

I won't be picking a favorite, but will do a random drawing for a winner from anyone who posts their year here!

I've updated mine - this photo is from 1987/88! The kit used is Butterflies & Blossoms, by me coming April 1!

Have to post early cause I have major work to accomplish starting the 22nd AND I loved this challenge, great fun to find a pic from my past. Suffice it to say, I could have picked a pic with me lots older and still wouldnt have messed up on the half your age rule! This is from 1967 with me wearing my favorite colors: orange & purple. The hippie in me was slow to fade away even into the late 1970s.:) This is actually a photo from my Illinois drivers license at that time. Those are feathers in a macrame necklace around my neck, OMG! Bracket frame from Hello Mr. Groundhog by Let Me Scrapbook.

OMG! I can't believe how few photos there are of me, lol. I was always the one BEHIND the camera, lol. This is me from around 1980 I think. That was way before the gray hair started creeping.

So this is the first time I've ever made an avatar. Many thanks to Olga9999 for the forum post with instructions. The picture is a bit more than half my age. You are looking at the 7th grade me in 1982!!! The hair is a riot. I asked for a "surfer girl kinky perm" and I got poodle/mop head instead. Yeah. Very cool to see what people come up with.

Ok Manda, here's mine. Just look at that hair!!! LOL Anyway this is a little over 20 years ago, I was pregnant at the time and my son is now 19. The year was 1990.

Manda I just had to change my Avatar a little, I did the sigi challenge and then my avatar didn't match, so changed the kit I used not the picture, still have that awful hair. LOL

The phot is a little less than 1/7 my age! I was the "pink poodle" in my first-ever dance recital in 1972. Pic is glitzed up with Nibbles Skribbles' Butterflies and Blossoms.

I am hoping that my new Avatar works. It is a picture of me about 1978. My husband took it.
