Friand Recipe to die for
 

These are just soooooo delicious and so easy to make, only tip I have is be sure the butter is cooled before using, my first ones were not very risen and very heavy but these second attempts were simply perfect, if I do say so myself, I have Nigella Lawson to thank though LOL

friands (also known as financiers) are made with almond meal instead of flour and are easy to make plus they only take 25 minutes to bake too and they taste devine, but then I love almonds LOL and that almond taste. once you have the batter too you can do all sorts of variations. Love it!!

I added just one raspberry (mine were frozen ones) on top of each before baking

Good Lord woman! You have me salivating here. Those look divine. I can't get TV over here, most US shows are blocked (or in German) so I download what I can off the web. I can download Master Chef Australia. I'm totally caught up in it!

With friands like that, you can go on MC3 and I'll soooooooo root for you!

That must be a Diane thing coz I love almond too!! I can't wait to give these a try. (My husband doesn't like almond flavor so I guess I'll have to eat them all myself) lol....Heh, why don't you all come for coffee?

Hee hee hubby only had one and they are sitting there just begging me to eat them LOL I guess I will have to if he doesn't hurry up, maybe I will send some to work with him, somebody will eat them there for sure!! Coffee sounds great Diane :) white and two sugars hun!! Should I bring my special computer mug, the super big one LOL??
