ATC Challenge
Hi ladies and welcome to the Artist Trading Card Challenge.
I are very few rules, the only one is that you must use a kit from this store, it can be a freebie kit, a brought one or a prize, it just has to be from this site. I have a template for those who have never done this before, and a couple of samples to give the newbies an idea of what to do. The main rule is to have FUN! The Samples http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...sample-1-1.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...Sample-2-1.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...TCTemp_1-1.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a191/jasjul/ATC-1.png http://www.mediafire.com/?1bgsbkmkowa9uc2 The prize for participating will be one of the Blueberry mini's http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...icinic_web.jpg When you are finished post a link to your card here so we can all go and have a look. |

Re: ATC Challenge
I can answer the first question... not the second, sorry! Waiting for that answer myself! :DD
----------------------------------------------------------------- Here is the definition I got from Wikipedia: Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards, or 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches (63 mm X 89 mm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or cloth. The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold. ---------------------------------------------------------------- For this challenge, you are just required to make the card to earn the participation prize... we are not going to be exchanging them, just sharing with everyone. But, the real purpose of an ATC is to make a mini piece of art to exchange with friends, family or other artists as collector items. Most do NOT contain pictures or snapshots, but images that convey a certain feeling or sentiment with words/quotes/phrases added for support - you can take a look at some of the ATC's that have been uploaded to our gallery here for the ATC monthly challenges... or you can run a search for "Artist Trading Cards" and find numerous examples all across the web! Some are just outstandingly beautiful works of art on such a small platform! The challenge here is designed to get the regular scrapper outside of their comfort zones, and try out some "freestyle" art!! Take a peek at this site here for more inspiration :DD |

Re: ATC Challenge
I made a 'calling card' for Catweazle, our 'stalking reporter' at the community paper. He has his own column, in which he discusses the news of his neighbourhood (from a cat's viewpoint, of course)
