May 2011 Recipe Card Challenge
UPDATED: May 7, 2011
Here are the instructions for this month's recipe card challenge/exchange: 1. Click HERE for this month's starter kit; it will be free to those who participated in the prior month's challenge. Please use this kit (or papers/elements you design in the same color palette) so the cards will "coordinate" and to ensure we don't violate other designers' TOU. 2. The general theme for this month's cards is your favorite Mexican recipes. This is a wide open theme ~ anything goes! Be creative and have fun with your cards! If you need different tags for your card(s), send me an e-mail and I'll make them for you. 3. Design your recipe card(s) however you'd like. Include your name, forum name, e-mail address ~ whatever you want ~ on the card. 4. Create your original card at 6" wide X 4" tall (1800 and 1200 pixels) and save it as a 300 ppi jpeg, quality between 8 to 10. These are the print-quality cards that will be shared with all participants. You will also need to resize your card at 72 ppi to post in the gallery. WHEN FINISHED with your card(s), do the following 3 things: 1. E-mail your print-quality, 300 ppi recipe card to LetMeScrapbook@hotmail.com so it can be included in the download file at the end of the month. Several participants have asked for blank copies of the cards you design, so if you're willing to send me both (with and without the words), that would be great! 2. Upload a picture of your 72 ppi card to the Recipe Card Challenge Gallery. Please upload only your actual recipe card ~ not the blank cards. 3. Post a link here in this forum thread no later than May 31. At the end of the month, all participants will receive a link to download all the cards created that month. Bon appétit!! http://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio...11_Preview.jpg |
Re: May 2011 Recipe Card Challenge
Dear friends: I'm on a business trip this week and won't be home until late Friday. I am hoping to finish the starter kit at night, but so far I'm working long days and not getting much free time. Please be patient with me! : )
As for this month's theme: it was totally going to be breakfast in honor of what all moms should get served to them in bed on Mother's Day, but I have seen so many good recipes in honor of Cinco de Mayo that we're going with MEXICAN! So get those ideas flowing and watch for the kit by Saturday at the latest... |
Re: May 2011 Recipe Card Challenge
How would I participate for the first time? And is there any way to get the past recipes?
Thanks |
Re: May 2011 Recipe Card Challenge
No problem Maurine. I'm waiting patiently.

Re: May 2011 Recipe Card Challenge
No problem, we can wait for you. Have a good trrip and don't work too hard. I know that's impossible when you are away on business. There is always too much to cram into the time that you have.

Re: May 2011 Recipe Card Challenge
No problem. Waiting patiently. Don't mind waiting at all. Waiting, waiting, waiting...Well maybe I am not so good at waiting after all. But, you have a great trip. Take some time to enjoy. I will find some reipes, then I'll hop on over to clutter it and color and check back later. Thanks

Re: May 2011 Recipe Card Challenge
Oh, goodie...I'm glad you changed it to Mexican! I am not a "breakfast" person and my family loves Mexican food.
Oh, and by the way, we'll wait... uh, but don't count on patiently! LOL |
Re: May 2011 Recipe Card Challenge

I played. Check it out:
Also I'm emailing you the card. Hope it's the right size. I use a different program than Photo Shop and it's hard to tell the pixels with it. |
Re: May 2011 Recipe Card Challenge
You've had a busy week! Hope your trip went well, Maurine. I can see that you made time to make another fun kit! I love it, and I love Mexican food, too. I'll have to find a good recipe to create my cards.

Hi Maureen,
I've never done a recipe card challenge before, but I LOVE Mexican food, even lived in Mexico for awhile a looooong time ago. LOL! I'd love to try this. Is it too late? mskinsey |

Super cute kit! Here's my recipe. I'm ashamed to say I make me one of these at least 3 times a week, hehe. I love em!!
