Week 2: First Look
 

Hello all!

Welcome to Week 2 of our Capture the Moment contest. This week all LO's must be created using Booland Designs fantabulous: Softer then Springtime Page Kit. Please check your PM boxes for your free copy of this kit.

The rest of our contest revolves around the seasons of the year. And capturing each of those seasons perfectly. We are starting with spring. Spring is all about new. Rebirth. First look.



Your assignment is to capture that first look and scrap it to perfection. Whether the first look is off a flower, animal, baby, your first love... capture it.

• This LO must contain at least 1 photo, but may contain more.
• You must use a minimum of 2 papers.
• You must create one cluster with the elements in the kit.
• There must be journaling. How does this represent "First Look" to you?
• You must post the LO in the Week 2 Gallery Week 2: First Lookby midnight (EST) on Thursday.

I can't wait to see the gorgeous layouts popping up in the gallery (I'm already dreading the voting, I'm sure you'll all blow us away!!!) 8D

I have a question... I know, a pain in the behind I am, I always have a question. :l

Does this mean that we are not to incorporate any other items, including our own? I'm asking because I was thinking I might like to use an alpha for titling.

LOL Rose, it wouldn't be right without a question from you.

The answer is "no". Nothing but the kit. You may, of course, use the papers/elements to fashion your own Alpha, but you may not use another pre-made one. :XX

Sorry I am long winded..........
I had to just go ahead & post this one (before I chickened out). I started out nervous when I knew that I needed to use a pic of myself, I just dont do that. As I started working onthe page, I started feeling the sadness of missing my little granddaughter. I realized that I needed to write this in a letter form to her. I am so emotionally drained at this moment. I have been crying for the hours that I have put into this.
Thank you Toiny, and Team for coming up with this kick start for me to make this for her.

Well ... I created and posted mine before I saw the detailed instructions. I have more than one cluster ... hope that's OK! Otherwise, the kit is gorgeous and I enjoyed the challenge!

The season of Spring we celebrate renewal and rebirth through color and light, and into our lives also being aware that the colors change with each season. Spring of last year we celebrated with the birth of Jake. He has been a bundle of joy and one of the happiest babies since arriving on 8 May 2010. The greens represent growth and new beginnings and the yellow is associated with light and the sun. Yellow is also the color of happiness and joy which Jake definitely was to all of us. Blue is the color of heaven and the color of peace and harmony. All new babies represents peace and harmony, happiness and joy and definitely new beginnings of a new life.
