I'm not researching myself but at times I check this forum out. It's mainly in Swedish, but I know people often are very friendly. And there are parts of the forum that are in English.

This is great! My husband's ancestors came from Sweden in the mid-1800s and I have been helping my FIL do some tracing of roots. This may be just what we are looking for.
