Re: Drumroll Please.... the winner is:

Congratulations! It's an awesome layout with wonderful clustering, and as I commented in the gallery so much fun too! It's a well deserved win.

One thing I learned from this challenge

I have issues I'm working through. I go through day to day life thinking I'm fine, but my grandfather's death, in spite of his age and the fact that "it had to happen sometime" has hit me harder...

Re: Week 5: Christmas

Okay, so the alpha question ended up not mattering. I apparently wasn't ready to lighten the mood, lol. Here's my LO for the last challenge.

Re: Week 5: Christmas

Now that I've downloaded and unzipped the kit I have a quick question. Is it okay to use the included alpha for the title? I haven't gotten so far as to actually plan the title, so I'm just curious...

Re: Week 5: Christmas

I LOVE the colors in this kit. I'm always more inspired by "non-traditional" takes on Christmas colors than the standard holly green and berry red. Especially since I've been experiencing Christmas...

Re: Week 5: Christmas

Cylynn, as I interpret the instructions, your title can't contain any plain fonts. So you can type your title using the paper, or you can use elements to form letters, but you can't use a plain,...

Re: Week 4: Winners

I think it would have been impossible to separate the actual scrapping technique implemented in these layouts from the deep, heartfelt sentiments expressed in the journaling. Once again I tried to...

Re: Week 3: Winners

I have to tell you, I went through the LOs when I was commenting trying to think like a judge, and yeah, I couldn't do it. Impossible! Each week the LOs are getting better and better and the...

Re: Week 4: Reflections

Wow! Okay. This is going to be a challenge this week. I could go with the obvious and make another page for my grandfather's memory book, or I could go in a different direction. I'll have to mull...

Re: Indirectly Related to the Contest

Rose, you're the one who inspired me to start doing heritage scrapping. You always created such fantastic LOs when you were on the SAS-y CT. I'd put them in the newsletter and think, "one of these...

Re: Indirectly Related to the Contest

Hey, Toiny if you notice any typos or anything while you're reading them, please feel free to let me know. I have a few corrections I've noted on printed copies of the LOs that I need to make before...

Re: Indirectly Related to the Contest

Toiny how amazing to have met Patton's grandsons. I don't believe my grandfather mentions meeting Patton, but he obviously spent a lot of time with Eisenhower.

Growing up my grandfather never...

Indirectly Related to the Contest

Several people commented on my week 1 LO that they wanted to read more of my grandfather's war stories. Last night (really it was this morning) I finished two more pages using the lovely Time Stands...
