Re: August 2011 Recipe Card Challenge
In July's challenge, I mentioned that we would be doing a "canning" challenge in the future. Well, the future is now!
This month will focus on canning, freezing, drying, preserving, whatever you want to call it ~ and can include, but is not limited to: jams, jellys, pickles, chuntneys, relishes, sauces, salsa, fruit, vegetables, jerky, dehydrated products, etc. I've included a few elements specific to this theme and several that are more general. Feel free to include photos of your real-life canning accomplishments! Your card(s) can also include "tips" instead of an actual recipe -- like how to freeze zucchini or blanch corn or easily peel tomatoes.
And never fear if you DON'T can -- include a recipe that uses one of these products -- which makes this a wide-open theme with lots of possibilities. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
