Re: Pollution alarm, have to stay indoors
We stayed up till about 1 am. By then they had the fire under control, but there was still lots of smoke.
This morning, it was safe to go out, but we should not touch the soot or let small children play outside. All cattle is to be kept indoors till the meadows have been tested and found safe.
That means the cats will have to stay indoors, too.
At least till it is pronounced safe for cattle and children.
It was a chemical plant, so no-one knows what was in the smoke and soot. There were immense explosions during the fire, and hopefulle most of the toxic stuff burned into less toxic waste. But it wasn't healthy to breathe that air, that's for sure.
