July 2012 - Less Is More Challenge

Hi everyone, Darlene here of Studio4 Design•works. I've just celebrated my first month here at the Studio and thought it was time to jump in with a little challenge and get to know some of the talented members here. This month, I have a new challenge called LESS IS MORE.

I'm offering up a FREEBIE mini kit for you to work with called BEACH BLISS. The premise of this challenge is to download this kit and create a LO using ALL of the elements and papers of the kit. Feel free to use your imagination and clip papers, recolour elements or papers, add text or a title or whatever. You can duplicate items and use them over again. Be creative!

What a beautiful mini... just got through scanning in some photos of when we lived on the water on Padre Island [outside of Corpus Christi]. Thanks for the mini... now to get busy with the challenge.

Saw your LO in the gallery - how fabulous! Do you still have the boat? I love the water myself, so was totally jealous when I saw this page. Super looking! Thanks for participating.

No, we moved from Padre Island 12 years ago and sold the boat. << sigh >> The move was prompted due to my arthritis getting bad. We now are in a much drier place and I am much improved. I do miss living right on the water but don't miss the hurricanes, etc we had to deal with. I have our wonderful memories of living there... so it works out.

I totally understand - it's about health first. And with the way hurricanes have been the last decade or so - I'm sure you don't miss those. But I'm sure there's lots of things you enjoy where you are now - sounds like it!

Tonisha - this is so very cute! Combining the waves with the waves of the photo - gives it a nice feel! Thanks for your LO and participating in the challenge!

Claire - I really like your duplicating all the fish - giving it an underwater feel. Looks like your son was having a great time strolling the beach. Love the LO!

My grandpup Callie loves the beach, playing in the surf, racing up the sand and chasing beach birds.
