December LESS is MORE Challenge

Hi everyone, Darlene here of Studio4 Design•works. For the December LESS IS MORE Challenge, I've created a little mini this month with a holiday theme in mind. It's designed for getting in the holiday spirit - whatever that may mean to you. We have a wealth of world-wide members with I'm sure different beliefs and customs, but this time of year is definitely to try and remember what's important in life and that's enjoying family and friends!

I'm offering up a FREEBIE mini kit for you to work with called COLOURS OF CHRISTMAS. The premise of this challenge is to download this kit and create a LO using ALL of the elements and papers of the kit, leaving nothing out. Feel free to use your imagination and clip papers, recolour elements or papers. You can add journaling text or a title, but nothing more. You can duplicate items and use them over again. Be creative! And most important - have FUN!

Christmas Memories

I am going to have a go at this challenge. Hope that is ok. I have been pretty quiet but would like to become more involved. I am an Aussie, living in the country and am relatively new to digi scrapping, but enjoying it so much, that now I feel I have improved enough to have a go at your challenges... I have downloaded the georgous kit and have begun the lay out.

I'm so HAPPY you've decided to jump into the challenge. It's the only way to go frankly! You'll be a pro and loving every minute of it before you know it. Remember we have tutorials and tips and tricks and we're always here to answer any questions if you have them!

Hi, I forgot to say when I posted my Lay out in the Gallery that the tree and Stars were cut out from the cream and blue papers and painted. Actually this was the very first time I have used the paint bucked, so I am quite proud of myself!

Yeah - good for you for trying something new! That's how we all learn! Don't forget you can duplicate the same layer and try blending modes as well. It's fun seeing what all the options do. I've accidentally created some of my favourite papers this way. Great LO - you really tried to add some of your own flair - good for you!

Dianne and Suzette - loved seeing your LOs in the gallery. So very creative. Beautiful clustering and a little change-up of colours really gave yours a vintage feel Diane.

Suzette - what a cute idea to create a present out of the ellies! Love your font choice - perfect for the them of the kit.
