Default DADs Moved to Store

Since we seem to have the site running smoothly again we have moved the Download A Day links back to the store. You will find them under SAS Gifts and each link will be active for 3 days. Thanks and Enjoy the party!

Thanks for all the effort. Nice to know the slow speeds are just because of growth. Its at least a positive thing overall.

Default Having troubles here

I have made three attempts to load these links to no avail. Am I the only one who can't get them to load? After several hours of trying and thinking I have them, when I try to unzip them, the message says I need to archive them? O help......what have I done wrong?

Kimberly.....
WinZip......I have never had any issues with it before now. I do have dial-up, and it does however take me awhile but these files are more then small enough for me to have a successful download. But I have never had a message like this either. If it is not resolved, I suppose I shall not play. But I want to Thank You for your help.

Try running disk cleanup and make sure that temp files is checked. That usually works for me! good luck.

That is so strange! I would definitely take Tess' advice and delete your temporary files! Most of the time that works! If not, give us a shout and I'm sure we can brainstorm and try to figure out what the problem is!

Sometimes, that happens to me when using Internet Explorer. Usually I can solve it by copying and pasting the link (or opening the page) in Mozilla Firefox, which, imho, is the best browser to download stuff. It should be OK there.
Also, Winzip is a good program to unzip files. I don't know which one you're using, but it can't be just that because you can't get the files to load, can you? Seems to me like a browser problem.
So, I'd try a different browser, preferably Mozilla, and Winzip.
Before you do, clean up your temporary internet files, delete the previous downloads of these files (if any), and don't forget to empty your recycle bin. We tend to forget that deleting something on the computer only places it somewhere else lol.
It might also be a good idea to download it to a different location this time: for example, if you did it before to My Documents, try Desktop now. Or the other way around.
If you still have problems, feel free to email me at morgaines.mail@gmail.com and I'll try to help you some more.
I hope it works out for you, this is a lovely download!
Hugs
Morgaine

Arrow Links To DAD

I only got here today. I haven't even seen the newsletter yet.
I was surprised to see the links. I haven't seen them unpacked
yet but I did want to thank you for the pleasant surprise. It's my
lucky day as they say.

This is a wonderful contribution and I'm already working with it. Thank you to all of the designers.

I do have one question, though. When I download each contribution, I get a screen asking about seeing secure and non-secure items at least three times during the checkout process. This is the only site that I visit that has these screens and I wonder why? Can I make them go away?

I've also seen this on a couple of other sites lately. It seems that it has only been occurring in the last month or so and it's not in all stores.

Want to add my thanks here for the 4 designers that are doing this super wonderful gift.

And Julie, the site is running pretty good now compared to the first of the month. It just shows how popular this one is.

Have you recently done a Window's update? I noticed I was getting these security messages after doing a Window's Security update a few weeks ago. I believe they are just a warning in case you don't trust the site. I usually just hit "OK" and continue on my merry way!

I know there is a way to shut off your warning messages, I just can't remember how... I will go and poke around and see if I can figure it out!

That would be fantastic. I always hit OK, too, because I was the one who instigated the link to the website but it really is getting annoying.
