Week 3: Fun with Water

Hello all!

Welcome to Week 3 of our Capture the Moment contest. This week all LO's must be created using Julie C. Designs refreshing: Blue Wave Kit. Please check your PM boxes for your free copy of this kit.

We are continuing our path down the four season. This week our focus is summer!


Your assignment is to capture "Fun with Water". Water features in so much of our lives, cleaning, bathing, life itself, but it is also, well, a toy. Nothing can be as fun as water. In this LO show water being fun! For us it's a mainstay of summer (this weekend water balloons featured very heavily in that fun), whether at the beach, a lake, riverside or just in the backyard.

• This LO must contain 3 photos, all the same size, telling the story.
• You must use 1 background paper.
• You must use at least 3 more as geometric shapes/cutouts.
• You may use a template, please credit it if you do.
• Element use I leave completely up to you. There is no right or wrong.
• There must be journaling. I love journaling. How does this represent "Fun with Water" to you?
• You must post the LO in the Week 3 Gallery Week 3: Fun with Water by midnight (EST) on Thursday.

Would it be OK to use baby, bath-time photos for this challenge in the event I can't find adequate beach or other summer, water-fun photos?

Oh, man - I really, really need to do a layout for this one - I have the perfect pictures! {thinking.... thinking..... can I squeeze in another project in the 5 min I have free this week???}


p.s. the layouts in the gallery already are SUPER!!! I just had a quick glance, but that's what made me want to play with this kit now!! LOL!!

Family fun at any water is a yearly thing. We plan again to go Father's Day to the Lake at Lathontan boating and Wakeboarding. I did try it and got up once or twice at Lake Almanor, CA where the family was wakeboarding during most of the summer of 2009, Grampa and I usually are the look out for the one's riding the waves. We rented a campsite on the Lake for the summer along with our daughter and her family. We had the first two sites which was so perfect for the wonderful view of the Lake. They had a little alcove where small children could play in the water. The boat dock was right near us so we could just walk right out onto the dock. The wild flowers were so beautiful that summer alone the coast line next to the campsite. I guess some lady planted wild flowers years ago and they are still coming up every year.

LOL, this was a true challenge for me as I couldn't find adequate photos but then, after much digging through my huge photo collection, I finally found some. Phew!
