Welcome to the inaugral Master Designer at theStudio! This month features Amber, Ruby Lane Designs, against her choice of Three of theStudio's Top Designers. Today Amber must choose her competitor. Who will it be?

Angel - Angel Hartline Designs

My creative life exists somewhere between the clouds and this crazy place around me I affectionately call Angeltown. I work from my home just north of Dallas as a freelance graphic artist & love spending my days with my family and close friends. I create artwork, websites, marketing materials and develop new products for customers in the craft, scrapbooking and home decor industries.

I am hopelessly addicted to and inspired by all things that tell the stories our lives and the world around us; books, music and film, history, art, crafting and scrapbooking. Awake or asleep you will nearly always find me listening to music, a movie or an audiobook while I create and live my own life.

Somehow I find time for crafting, designing, reading, nerdfighting, music & my sweetest calico kitty, Monkey Love. I have a real passion for digital, hybrid and altered crafting. Not much makes me happier than creating something beautiful from various bits and pieces!

Boo - Booland Designs

I started out as an accidental scrapper whilst looking for interesting graphics for my childcare business. I stumbled into a world of amazing creativity, wonderful people and was hooked from the get-go. I soon began designing (albeit badly) and blogging, offering my creations for free and building up a dedicated following of like-minded friends.

I joined the Studio when it opened its doors as Stone Accents Studio over 4 years ago as a store ct member. I eventually joined the team as a Designer and have been with them ever since.

My style is a little ‘eclectic’ depending on the mood I’m in at the time of creating. I love the fantasy style that is popular at the moment but my own niche tends to fall into the vintage/shabby/romantic style. I do enjoy trying out new styles every now and then so look out for those.

In the real world I’m an Early Years Educator working with children from birth to 12 years and I work from home. I am mum to three fantastic children, Dan, 28 and in the Army, Mike, 25 recently retired from the Army and Elly, 11 and that vital 1/2 years of age. I’m incredibly proud of them all and count my many blessings that they are all safe, healthy and great fun to be with.

I’m also life partner to Jay, my wonderful Music Man.
I got my nick name ‘Boo’ or ‘BooBoo’ from my Uncle who played peek-a-boo with me as a baby and would say ‘Hows you BooBoo?’. I always thought that was my name and it stuck ever since. Yes, all my family and friends call me Boo lol, but my real name is Bernadette.

We live in a beautiful seaside town in the North of England.

Sherah - SKrapper Digitals

I live on a mountain top farm in the hills of WV.
I'm a digiscrap designer, mother to a fun loving little girl and wife to my dear husband. I first found digital scrapbooking when while pregnant with my daughter and looking for a way to create her baby book. Once I stumbled across digital scrapbooking (and then creating digital scrapbooking supplies) I was completely hooked!

This is truly my favorite creative outlet, it incorporates elements of so many of my other hobbies and interests: interior decorating,crafting, sewing,flower arranging, photography, and graphic design, as well as being completely mess free!

Other than designing I love, cooking (baking! ), reading, helping DH on construction projects and spending time with my little one.

How This Works:

Today: Amber meets the competition and choose one competitor.
Monday: Amber and her competitor receive their Challenge!
Saturday: Challenger & Competitor turn in their assignments.
(previews only in the forum, links to the judges)
Tuesday: Judges verdict is IN!

I'm so excited to put these talented Designers through the wringer. I wish it was tomorrow... wait, no, I wish it was Saturday.

I have been way too quiet - I know - and I so miss you guys! I've been smack in the middle of a major product release and I'm dying to design a digi kit so YAY!!!

Well I sat here for quite sometime hoping maybe this forum would choose for me as this was a very hard decision!

I have personally created with Boo before and our shabby sides married beautifully. I have also created with Sherah, and had such a fun time. They are both so very creative and talented.

SO... with that said I did choose Angel. I chose Angel because our styles appear to be very different and that would make for an interesting challenge as we each interpret our assignment in our unique way. I also chose Angel because the 2nd paragraph of her bio felt like she was describing me!

Boo and Sherah, I love you both and we should create together again someday soon. But alas I must say...

Angel - it's on!
