Katrina,
You've nailed just what I think is the best idea. Can never get enough Chocolate recipes, they are my downfall. Think Maurine knows that. |

You ladies are funny! I'm totally cool with doing chocolate again. That was actually the very first challenge I did -- but our participant group was MUCH smaller then. I'd love to see what everyone comes up with the 2nd time around. Won't be in August for sure, but I've got it on my list...

How about freezer meals--things that can be cooked in bulk ahead of time and pulled out for a quick meal on busy nights.

Since Christmas will be here before we know it, what about "gift jars," you know, recipes in a jar. You decorate a pint/or quart jar lid, put the dry ingredients in the jar, add a cute tag with the recipe directions (recipient adds the "wet" ingredients)...you can also do the same thing with small jelly jars if you want to make homemade jelly for the jars, add some yummy crackers, or if your friend owns a bread machine add a prepackaged bread mix ...depending upon how elaborate you want to go...get a cute wooden basket for all of it, add a small bread board, a decorative knife, nice coffee cup, etc...
Just an idea. |

So once I started thinking about it I had lots and lots of ideas. Here's what I've come up with.
I like the breakfast food idea and think your Hodge Podge color palette would work well. And I was thinking we should do a month of chocolate recipes with your Neapolitan Mint color palette. I see that's been requested too. Mm, I have to perfect Mint Cheesecake Brownie recipe to share. I think you've done soups before but maybe we could do it again with a winter pallete. I'd also like to do breads and rolls. And a kids' favorites done in elementary colors or back to school color would be fun. Game-time snacks like for rivalry game or Super Bowl or March Madness parties. Drinks like smoothies, juices, cocoas, and ciders. |

Lots of great ideas -- guess we'll have to keep this going for quite a few months to come! : )

Doing the breakfast suggestion for January 2012. The HodgePodge colors would have been great -- hopefully you'll like what I used instead...

I would love to see a superbowl/tailgaiting/the big game type challenge with all the wings, dips, etc. that usually go along with this! Yummy!
