August Photography Challenge - 'Altered Effects'

Hi everyone! Can you believe it's August already????

I have just spent the last few weeks working on some Photo Tools that transform photos into retro-looking works of art, and it gave me the inspiration for this month's challenge! My 'Retro-matic' Collection is being released in Saturday's Newsletter, so if you want some ideas for this challenge, keep your eyes peeled!

Take any photo with any theme, and alter it to give a completely different 'feel'. You may choose to use a filter that comes standard with your software, an action for Photoshop users, or a technique such as Selective Coloring - the possibilities are endless!

Don't be shy - many photos turn out to be absolute masterpieces after a crazy treatment or two !!

I love to alter photos!! The bottom photo is the original, top is the altered. Alter info credits in gallery.

Here's one using the hue/saturation to alter the photo...

I played with the contrast and saturation before applying Retromatic Overlays

I mainly do CT but have dabbled a bit in paint.net. Here is mine. I used the metalize effect. Photo is the dahlia in my neighbours yard.
