2nd Chance Round 4: Midnight

Yay! You have made it to the finals of our Second Chance competition. The winner of this round will receive a free DDA - Digi Design Academy with our very own Sherah, SKrapper Digitals. Sherah is an amazing, patient teacher and I still learn from her.

Your challenge, is again, the same as our NDC contestants:

There is a theme, to close out our running "Every Day" theme this year: Midnight. You are not getting a palette, you do not have to use this as the kit name. Be as creative as you'd like!

There are only five, very important rules this round:

1. You must have an Alpha (this counts as 1 element).
2. Use the theme.
3. This must be a brand NEW kit.
4. This must be in the gallery, with download links, by 23:59PM September 26.
5. Maximum size may not exceed 14 papers, 40 elements.

Other than that... well... it's a free-for-all. Have fun & be you!

I'm so excited to be in this round! I think I'm gonna run with first idea that popped in my head for this round, because it is special to me. I'm just hoping it is not too creative on the theme. That is always such a gray line... being creative but not going too far.

Have you ladies decided on your theme yet? I know you can't tell me, . Just thought I'd get a little chatter going in our section of the forum.

Is anyone else having problems? I have been mulling this over since Thursday and am having trouble getting started. I know I dreamt about it last night but cannot for the life of me remember what the theme or color scheme was..... arrrrgggghhh. I have resorted to asking my children for some inspiration.

I'm having some problems. Lots of ideas, but no definite direction yet. I keep plugging along though just like last round. Something will make sense and come together eventually. At least I sure hope it will! LOL

I just ran into something that is very frustrating. I have an image and in my PSE (in Windows 7) it appears to have a slight purplish tint to it. I saved it and opened it in my hubby's PS (Mac) and it is a definite pink. Why is this? How do I know which color is true? I'm about to pull my hair out!

It has nothing to do with pse 7-
sometimes the frustrations are due to monitor settings- and calibrations of the monitors. I have 2 monitors. For the life of me, I canot get them to set the same.

I am with you on that.... I have to 2 monitors as well as my DH has my TV hooked up to the computer so I can have a 3rd monitor. None of them show the same color. Very frustrating.

At least it is not me. I think it is my computer that is off and not his, b/c we printed it and the color is closer to his screen than mine. Now I just have to figure out how to change my settings. Thanks for replying girls!!!

I noticed that 3 of us got ours up about the same time. I had to run out the door right after I got mine up and am just now getting back to my computer. Love the other 2 kits in the gallery and I am anxious to see the other 2 coming too. With such a great prize up for grabs it is going to be hard to wait til Thursday.

Mine is a very unique color scheme and take on the traditional midnight theme so I hope it isn't too far off what the judges were wanting. I was in a happy and bright mood and my kit reflects that.
