January 2013 Less Is More Challenge

Hi everyone, Darlene here of Studio4 Design•works. I'm hoping for those that celebrate Christmas or other festivities at this time of year that you all had a super holiday season and I wish you and your families and very happy and successful New Year for 2013! I took a bit of time off, but I'm ready now to get back to the drawing board! I'm sure everyone is glad in one way that the hectic times are over and it's time for some "scrap therapy"!

For the first LESS IS MORE Challenge of 2013, I've created a little mini this month with a theme in mind - THIS IS THE YEAR. It's basis is just to get you motivated. What do you want to do or accomplish this year? It can be a personal goal, a family reunion or even getting that scrapbook finished for that special someone that you've been meaning to finish. That's me!

I'm offering up a FREEBIE mini kit for you to work with called THIS IS THE YEAR. The premise of this challenge is to download this kit and create a LO using ALL of the elements and papers of the kit, leaving nothing out. Feel free to use your imagination and clip papers, recolour elements or papers. You can add journaling text or a title, but nothing more. You can duplicate items and use them over again, or clip to shapes that come native to your program. Be creative! And most important - have FUN!

Thanks for the mini and I hope to have a layout for you this week.. really need to think on this one though --- Something I want to accomplish ???? HUMMMMMMM there are tons of things I would LOVE TO ACCOMPLISH this year !!! hahahahahhahaha Might just have to make a collage of things.. *LOL*

That is SO totally up to you. These are just suggestions, and really - you can do whatever inspires you. No fast rules here!

Diane - it's just a suggestion, the topic is really wide open and subject to your interpretation. I just offer up the opening for you all! The real challenge is creating LOs using minimal amounts of goodies - and stretching your imagination.

Darlene, as always you are my favorite part of a new month!!! LOVE the mini!! I have not ONE, not TWO, BUT THREE DAUGHTERS PREGNANT right now so I am going to have a BUSY YEAR!! I am going to try hard to do this Less Is More Challenge!

Hi Rhonda - sorry I haven't responded here, I was not around all weekend and just checking in this morning. In order to display your LO image here, go to your gallery photo. Right click (PC) or Control click (MAC) on your image. You will get a contextual menu that gives you options - click on "Save image location". The information for your photo will be saved. Then come back here to your post (or a new post), and click on the yellow box with the mountain, another box will pop up and that's where you paste your information that you just copied from your gallery LO. Hit okay - and voila - your image will appear in the box.
