Oh that is a terrible thing to happen. I use Carbonite and haven't had any problems with it. I have two separate EHD's one for photos and one for the digi stuff. I also have a lot of stuff backed up on cd and dvd's. I hope you get everything back.

You are all the best most wonderful friends in the world!!! So much help and so many ideas! My guru guy called me today to tell me there is nothing he can do with my EHD and that it would cost anywhere from $1,500 to $3.000 to send it to a place that retrieves stuff like that. Yeah, like I have that kind of money sitting in my back pocket!!! I hope he didn't destroy my EHD trying to retrieve everything because I want to try some of the ideas you all have been giving me. Some good news is that about 3 months ago I was running out of space on my computer and of course, the hard drive didn't work so I backed up loads of DSS kits on to 64 GB thumb drives!!! All my older kits are gone as they were on the EHD but most of my newer ones are on the thumb drives!!! WHEW!!! And the latest ones are on the computer and he was able to back everything off the computer onto his EHD until I can get a new computer to put it all on. There are a few of the older ones that were favorites and hopefully they are still in the store.
I just found my PSE 8 and PSE 10 when I was unpacking boxes today. My friend said I could put PSE on to her computer. It will be awhile before I can afford a new one of my own.
Again, thank you so much for all your love and support!!! HUGS to you all!!

Do you use a laptop or a desktop nancy? Desktops are cheap to put together if you know anyone computer savy who could look online for parts for you and put it together. My hubby just made a new one that flies for about 500AU$ if you were here I would get him to make one for you...lol

Nancy - in spite of the bad news, there is hope! You have some of your latest kits still - so all is not lost. I'm glad you have something to start with, and I know we'll be able to get that stash going for you once you're up and running again!
