Yes, that is perfect, Kaye! Great use of the brushes to make this border. And the page is just beautiful! Love the color choices.

Awesome take on the challenge, Nancy! That's going the extra mile to make your own brush. Great creativity!

This is beautiful, Shaunna. I like how you used the brush on 2 edges of the paper to create your border. Such a sweet photo to go with this too!

You too, Priss! Great job of making your brush with the overlay. Beautiful layout and sentiment too!

Pixel Palette, beautiful combination of the 2 brushes to make your border. Awesome choice, as it fits your photo so perfectly.

Yes, it's easy to forget the things that are already built into our programs, isn't it? Beautiful job, Renee! And I love your use of the Border Buddy here as well.

Lovely, GrannieEv. My guess is you used some sort of brush to get the grid look on the border? Love the sentiment.

I tend to think of brushes as only good for inking the edges .... my friend reminded me today about other kinds of brushes (the little squares). It was perfect for this LO (it was actually JUST what it needed). Thank you so much for the challenge!

Gorgeous, Miss Pepper! The leaf border is THE perfect addition here. Congratulations on your Layout of the Day recognition for this page too!

Hi Faith, Thank you for entering the challenge! Your page is very thought provoking, and your border is lovely. I hope the challenges here at theStudio encourage you to scrap more!

Great idea, Lisa. I loved your stitched borders! I've been to the Summer Palace. It's pretty amazing, isn't it?

Awesome Pat! Love the grungy edges as well as your entire piece.

Hi Bekki, what a perfect border for this beautiful page! It's simplicity is striking, in combination with all the other design choices you have made.

What a fun border, Michi. You used brushes for the musical notes and applied styles to them, is my guess. Looks like a fun date!

Great use of Jill's Spray Brushes here, Kabra! Love how you used them! Oh, my, that looks quite cold!

I love seeing the different ways you all are interpreting this challenge! Thanks for joining in.

Beautiful, Cathy! Love the delicate brushed border you have give your page! I am wondering if that is your house? It looks beautiful with the snow, although I would imagine it's not as fun to live in as look at.

Karen, it is actually our neighbors house directly across from us. I took those from our front porch when the snow was falling at the rate of 1-2" an hour. I wasn't going out in it, lol. It is beautiful when the snow if falling. We have our own little winter wonderland here. We are back in a quiet little subdivision that few know is here. We are actually in the city limits, but often see deer, a fox, a wolf and of course many rabbits and squirrels.

Here is my page. I did it over. For the Border I used a winter branch brush. Then added snowflakes and a sun flare.

makeyesup I love your page. POW/MIA is very dear to my hear.t I made web pages for POW/MIA sites a few years back. Was even in touch with the known Unknown Soldiers Sister back when they had to remove his body from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier! Felt so bad for His family to be lied to like that! Grrr But they were finally able to bring him home! That was a Blessing for them!

What a story and so glad it had a happy ending. We were there before the service and got to talk with a lot of the service people. My favorite was the one from WW II as my late husband was a Marine during the war.

Thanks for the info about brushes. Went looking and found lots of information about how to use them. Decided to start out with using oak leaves brushes in my PSE11 program. Oh... how much fun this was. I added several layers - rust, green and tan ones interwoven on top of each other. They form the lower border beneath the photo.

I used Rustic Romance by WendyP Designs for this page.

I have been playing with brushes now that I have found out how they work!!! Now my next learning technique is in using actions and how to upload them into PSE11.

Thanks everyone for tips and encouragement on stepping out and trying new things.

Sounds like you have the perfect place, Cathy! How fun to get to live so close to nature, but still be within the city limits for all of the conveniences.

Angmag55, the branch brushes are just beautiful! Well done!

Oh, I have that glitter brush myself, makeyesup. I love it! Beautiful use here, and a great memory page.

Wonderful page, Jody.. starting with the photo. What a great shot. Love the daisy brushes you used, and then the placement of the elements on top of it.

Very fun page, Altimasport. Love the border brushes you used, with the glitter style applied!

Bright Eyes, Good for you for not being afraid of brushes, just because they were not in your normal tool bucket! I'm glad you enjoyed exploring this very versatile tool. You did a great job on your leaf border, and the page is just lovely.
