We need new blinkies!

for the most part i used my 'Dream' mini kit to create the header and a few other commercial use and other SAS-y ladies items. I made the stone too so I can get that to anyone who would like to use it for the new blinkie contest as well. Awesome! Thanks Sherah! The stone is super, and it fits the site so well! It will look fab on a blinkie!

I don't think I will e-mail you just yet... I've gotten kinda backed up with some "real world" stuff and I'm not sure if I'm going to have the time to make a blinkie or not! If I do come up with some extra time, I will definitely be e-mailing you for the stone!

Here is the blinkie I working on...looks like "almost ready". I will show you anyway:

It not so small like it should be but in the size of 150 it doesn't look so good. Any suggestions?

Marta, that's so cool! The 150 size is a requirement for most forums, which is why we made it part of the challenge. Maybe reduce each piece in a program like Pix Resizer before putting the animation together? Some better at blinkies might have more advice.

Does anyone know of a good tutorial to make a blinkie in photoshopElements6? The link given in previous thread is for Photoshop( full version)
I did google for tut.One tutorial didn't work.Another for much earlier version etc.on & on
I especially need help on how to save for web.When I try I keep gettin a window telling me size too big (It's 150x50,72dpi)

Jo, you can just click on "yes" when you get the message about the size being too big... that's what I always do and it works fine! Here is the tutorial I used to make the Candee Stalker blinkie... I use PSE5 and the Tut is for PSE4, but it worked perfectly!

My very first attempt to make a blinkie.
It is not fancy but then you have to start someplace right??
What I learned:
I learned that I made the layers in 150x50 inches & tried to save for web that way:eek: Of course wouldn't work. Have to save for web in pixels -not inches.
Now I wonder what size everyone uses to origanally create the blinkie layers? Do you create in inches or pixels & what size? Then do you resize to save for web?( the 150x50 pixel canvas is too small to work on - so you must create larger?)Hope I am making sense when asking this question.
I tried emailing myself the blinkie & it doesn't blink. So I now have uploaded the blinkie to photobucket & will try to post it here. Hope it blinks

Wow I actually made a blinkie! And I got it posted so it blinks too! I am so proud of myself Tooting my own horn-something I seldom do.
Now all I have to do is find out the best size to create in before resizing & get those [img] letters around the blinkie off the post.
